Here Comes The Philly Fed Manufacturing Report... - Business Insider

UPDATE:

Manufacturing in the country's mid-Atlantic region fell from from its rapid pace of growth in May, new data out of the Philadelphia Federal Reserve shows.

The headline business activity index declined to -5.8 during the month, from a reading of 8.5 a month earlier.?

Sub-indexes measuring new orders, prices received, and delivery time all fell into negative territory.

Perhaps the worst reading in the report came in the employment sub-sector, declining from a positive 17.9 to -1.3. Employment had remained positive for eight consecutive months before today's report.

Economists polled by?Bloomberg?forecast the index will increase this May, gaining 150 basis points to 10. If that holds, it would represent a healthy outlook for businesses activity.

The Federal Reserve Bank's Third District covers eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware.

The announcement is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. EST.

About BMW

BMW (Bavarian Motor Works) began as an aircraft engine company in 1917. After WW1 the treaty of Versailles restricted German arms manufacturing, and BMW retooled to produce motorcycles and automobiles. If I had to choose only one BMW for my very own personal use I would go with the new 2012 BMW M5 for many reasons. First and foremost it has four doors. That is important to me because I have a family and if I bought a sporty two door coupe I would never get to drive it. Second is the fact it is still got enough power to knock your socks off. This twin turbo BMW will not only get you to your destination in style, but you?ll arrive in no time at all. I also love the Olympics partially because I do not always have such interesting topics as a writer for an internet marketing company. The Role

TTN/DC ? WHO WE ARE

In 2004, several women from Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland ? all of whom learned about TTN independently ? began meeting and talking about whether such a group was needed and wanted here. In January 2005, they held a dinner to introduce their friends, colleagues and acquaintances to The Transition Network and President and Co-Founder Christine Millen. And so TTN-DC began, as an informal offshoot. By the summer of 2006, with a core of perhaps 50 interested women, the decision was made to become a legal chapter. Today, the Capital Area Chapter, as we officially are known, is the largest outside the New York Metro area, and the fastest growing.

Our women come from the District, Northern Virginia and Maryland. We extend as far east as Annapolis, north toward Baltimore, west into Loudoun and south into Prince William. Our members and guests hold professional jobs that literally go from A to Z (accountant to zoologist). They represent every sector ? arts, big and small business, construction, defense, education, government, journalism, law, marketing, medicine, nonprofits, social services and, yes, zoos. They are well-educated and well-traveled. They are interesting and interested in navigating transitions, finding new jobs, careers, volunteer opportunities, hobbies and friends.
